Unique Donation Programs: 

  • Amazon Smile automatically generates a donation based on your purchases to the charity of your choice

  • DonorsChoose.org lets you to contribute to a specific project within the education system.  

  • Kiva.org is a crowdfunded lending program designed to build communities around the world. Private individuals (you) browse borrowers around the world (inspired community members) looking for financial support to go to school or start a small business. The borrower repays over time (the payback rate is over 96%!!)

  • Heifer International encourages sustainable agriculture and commerce globally

Tips for Donating: 

  • Remember to find out if your employer has a matching program and ALWAYS submit your donations!

  • All charities are required by law to share (if asked) what percentage of their donation is used for the cause versus their overhead. Be sure to ask!

  • Be sure your donation is tax deductible by verifying the organization as a 501(c)3 here
